Magic make it 4 in a row with win over CHA
The Magic, now at 7-3, are 2 games ahead in first place in the SE division thanks to a 97-83 win over CHA. After a sluggish 1-2 start, the Magic have won 6 of their last 7 games.
DHoward led the way with his second 20-20 game of the year, 24 pts and 21 rebs. GHill added 15 pts, JNelson and CArroyo combined for 17 pts and 6 assists, and Darko led another strong effort by the bench with 14 pts. Darko also added 8 rebs, 4 blocks, 3 assists, and 2 steals in 24 minutes. Emeka Okafor led CHA with 26 pts on 13 of 15 shooting and 9 rebs. Sean May added 12 pts, and Adam Morrison 10 pts, but only shot 5 of 15.
The Magic (36 of 78, 46.2%) outscored CHA (31 of 78, 39.7%) from the floor 77-63. The Magic were 5 of 10 on 3 pters, while CHA was a woeful 1 of 17. FTs were even (CHA 20-26, 76.9%; ORL 20 of 27, 74.1%). ORL outrebounded CHA 47-43. The Magic also had a better assist/turnover ratio of 21-15, compared to 19-16 for CHA. The Magic bench was once again dominant, outscoring the Bobcats bench 39-19.
Dwight proved once again why he was the Number 1 draft pick in 2004 over Okafor. Nothing against Okafor, who is going to have an outstanding career if he can stay healthy, but the sky is the limit for Dwight. Dwight had only 1 TO against CHA, and shot 10 of 13 from the FT line, 2 areas that he has struggled in at times this season. Just 15 TOs for the Magic... that's a good sign also. Next game at MEM MON night.

Take away Okafor and Sean May's 18 of 25 from the field, and CHA shot a sickly 13 of 53, less than 25%. Nice to see the Magic put away CHA in the 4th quarter and coast to finish the game.
