Magic try to break long road losing streak at IND

The Magic (22-40; 6-26 away) will try to break a 13 game losing streak on the road tonight against the Pacers (31-29; 18-10 home). Surprisingly, the Magic have had a lot of luck at Indy lately, winning 4 of their last 5 games there. The Magic are thinking of shutting Grant Hill down the rest of the season due to his continuing abdominal pain from his sports hernia surgery.

With the injured Jermaine O'Neal out indefinitely, IND is lead in scoring by Peja Stojakovic, averaging 20.4 ppg in 18 games with the Pacers since being acquired from SAC. Stephen Jackson (16.2 ppg), Fred Jones (10.5 ppg), and Jamaal Tinsley (9.9 ppg) contribute. Jeff Foster is a strong rebounder, at 8.6 rebs per game, and is coming off a 19 pt 16 rebound game.

IND is averaging 93.7 ppg, and is giving up 91.3 ppg. Even though the Magic are giving up 96.2 ppg, the last 3 games they are allowing only 85 ppg. Continued good defense, ball movement on offense, good shooting (the Magic have shot over 50% in 7 of their last 11 games), and strong bench play will be the keys to finally getting a road win tonight, as this is a very winnable game for the Magic. However, they are 6 1/2 pt underdogs to IND (www.pinnaclesports.com).

I like the match-up's in our favor tonight, hedo & peja are old friends that should be fun, deshawn and steven jackson, wash, and without o'neal, there's no reason why dwight, battie & darko should'nt have a good game,if we continue to push the ball with jameer/carlos,just rebound and run,our depth should overwhelm them in the latter stages of the game, magic in a close one....If coach hill doesnt screw anything up that is!
