Bench leads Magic to big win over Cavs

After CLE took a 28-21 lead at the end of the first quarter, it looked like the Magic were well under way towards their seventh loss in a row. But from that point on, shockingly, the Magic outscored CLE 81-45 to win by a 102-73 blowout, their largest margin of victory this year.

Four players off the Magic bench scored in double figures, led by CArroyo (17 pts), KDooling (13 pts), BOutlaw (12 pts), and Darko (11 pts). Only one Magic starter, TBattie, scored in double figures (13 pts). Overall, the Magic bench scored 67 pts, compared to just 12 for CLE. LeBron James scored 25 pts to lead CLE, but shot just 9 of 22.

The Magic outscored the Cavs from the field 87-57 on solid 57.5% shooting. The Cavs shot just 34.2%. The Magic shot 75% from the FT line (15 of 20). They outrebounded CLE 44-36, and had a good assist-to-turnover ratio of 22-12, while the Cavs had a poor ratio of 11 assists to 15 TOs. How about the play of our point guards, Nelson and Arroyo, who combined for 13 assists and just 1 TO. And it was a blast from the past by Bo Outlaw, whose effort against CLE resembled that of the "Heart and Hustle" team from 2000.

Really good win by the Magic over a solid playoff team. Hopefully we can see efforts like that for the remainder of the season.

"That was old school," Outlaw said. "That was vintage, like it was 1999."

That line made me feel so warm inside.
Celebrating Nick Anderson, the pinstripes, Bo's big game, and of course a giant W...just beautiful.

I didn't actually see much of the game last night, woke up right before halftime and again as they interviewed Bo at the end. It's kind fun playing "spoiler" now. It would have been nice if they had retired the number "25" in honor of Nick. If anyone deserves to have their number retired from this team it was him. Oh well, maybe someday..

Yeah, it was nice that the Magic held a special night for Nick Anderson, who was such an integral part for the Magic for so long.

It be nice to kick some ass on Golden State tonight. We should have won the last one against them but the victory will be much sweeter at home...

Carlos armstrong, keyon wilkins,bo outlaw, dwight wallace, was that heart & hustle we saw last night?boy was that fun watching the magic (players) scrap BSH's whole play-book mid-game,carlos and keyon said to themselves, forget this walk the ball up shit that coach wants us to do,were gonna run,and thats what they did, notice how many easy baskets for dwight & bo,just goes to show why we hate BSH so much, pat garrity got tons of minutes before his injury when its obvious bo would give you more hustle and easy baskets for a team that sometimes struggle's offensively,i wonder of we'll continue to run,or will coach hill stunt their growth with opening his mouth,COACH HILL JUST SHUT UP AND LET THEM PLAY THEIR STYLE,CARLOS AND KEYON NEED TO BE RUNNING,dwight, tony & darko did their jobs and took Z out of the game, while being big presence's in the paint, that is what we needed from our big guys, keep it up,there should be no reason to lose to an average golden state, that just playing in miami last night!
