Magic to face Utah to end road trip
The Magic (20-39; 6-25 away) will try to avert a winless road trip as they play Utah (28-31; 14-15 home) tonight. The Magic have won the last 3 games in the series, but the Jazz own an 11-5 home mark lifetime against the Magic.
The Jazz are coming off a thrashing, as SEA whipped them Sunday 113-81. Four players average in double figures for UT: Mehmet Okur (17.7 pts 9.2 rebs), Andrei Kirilenko (14.9 pts 8 rebs), and two former Magic players, Matt Harpring (11.9 ppg) and Gordy Giricek (10.6 ppg). Deron Williams is having a good rookie year (9.7 ppg) and Carlos Boozer (9.2 ppg 7.6 rebs) is back from injury.
Utah has turned the ball over more than 20 times in 3 of the last 4 games, and are second-to-last in the league in TOs committed, ahead of only the Knicks. The Magic need to put good defensive pressure on them tonight to continue that trend. Expect a low-scoring game, as UT allows 93.8 ppg and scores just 90.4 ppg. The Magic are 4 1/2 pt underdogs (www.pinnaclesports.com).

The Magic are due for a win. I just don't know if it's going to happen being the last game of this west coast road trip. Factor in that the Jazz are coming off a beating and coming home; so they should come out and try and take the victory early on. Still, I don't see the Jazz being that good. One key for the Magic this game is matching Utah's intensity, especially in the beginning. As far as who starts, I expect pretty much the same bunch that started the last game. Hill has his starters in his mind it seems, so I guess we're suppose to live with that for at least the rest of this season?

Need to play the kids and Outlaw & Augmon total 30 minutes? Diener and Ariza get DNP-CDs?
Someone call Michigan and ask the owner if he cares...
I'm glad I'm on the road and couldn't watch.
