Magic shoot for 2 in a row against GS tonight

GS, coming off an impressive 111-106 upset win at Miami Friday night, brings a 26-36 record (10-20 away) to TDW. Jason Richardson is coming off a career high 44 pts on 17 of 26 shooting (6 of 7 3 pt shooting) against the Heat. Troy Murphy added 18 pts and Derek Fisher 14 pts. The Magic are now 21-40, and 15-14 at home.

The Magic are coming off a big 102-73 win against CLE, and are trying for their first 2 game winning streak since late January. The Magic should be more rested than GS, as everyone on the Magic's active roster played and scored in the rout over CLE. Only one player, TBattie (31 minutes) played over 30 minutes. GS averages 98.7 ppg and allows 99.9 ppg, while the Magic average 93.2 ppg and allow 96.2 ppg.

As long as the Magic can hold down Richardson, and play excellent team ball as they did last night, this should go down as a Magic victory. Both our point guards did an excellent job running the offense against CLE. For a change, the Magic are actually favorites to win tonight against GS by 1 1/2 points (www.pinnaclesports.com).

I just read this on Slantinel.com..

Vander Weide: Keep your eye on Nelson

Although all the talk now seems to be on newcomers Carlos Arroyo and Darko Milicic, Magic President Bob Vander Weide is reminding people not to forget about someone else he thinks will be huge in the future. "I'm as impressed with Jameer Nelson as anything right now," Vander Weide said. ". . . I think with him, we've got someone who's really special. He has that kick-butt kind of attitude. People like that are hard to find."

    WOW! AMAZING! INCREDIBLE!
Does this guy have his finger-on-the-pulse of this team, or what? Thanks for the tip Vanderweed.

He's just now seeing what Jameer can do?????

He might want to actually try watching a game, once in a while..

I'm thinking that no one at the office has his cell phone number, or, he just has basic cable at his castle in Michigan.

It just struck me as really funny, that he felt he needed to remind the fans about Jameer.. well DUH! Even the most casual of fans know about Jameer and his extraordinary talent.

Like is said, maybe if he just watched a game.

LOL Omar... I guess Bob just wants to remind everyone that he still pays attention to the Magic.
