CHI win over MIA ends Magic playoff dream

Thanks to a disinterested MIA team that had nothing to play for (except pride), and a CHI team that had everything to play for, the Bulls clinched a playoff spot with a 117-93 rout over the Heat. MIA actually had a 15 pt lead early in the second quarter before the Bulls started pouring it on for their first win in MIA in 12 tries.

Congratulations to the Bulls, as they earned their right into the playoffs by winning several games in the last few weeks that they were projected to lose. When they visit ORL Monday night, CHI still will have a lot to play for as they will be trying for a higher seed to avoid a matchup with DET in the first round.

The Magic can be proud of themselves for making this great playoff run after being given up for dead by just about everyone when they were 20-40. Winning these last two games of the season for the Magic and ending the season with a 10 game winning streak would be almost as good as making the playoffs; to say the least about the great future the Magic have to look forward to.

Just win out, beat chicago again, plus indiana, and show everybody who should really be there in the playoffs, and then we can feel proud about ourselves going into the off season!

I'm right with you big figure. I hope they stomp the hell out of the Bulls just because. If anything it'll give them a taste for the beating that Detroit is going to give them in the 4 games they play in round 1. I'd also like them to win out, and finish with a 10 game winning streak. I especially want them to win the last game at home, because that's just how it should end. Another side note, and maybe motivating factor, if Dwight average's 21 boards in these last 2 games he'll be #1 on the boards this year. He should be able to do it against CHI, but with the Pacers style of play it might be a stuggle. Still, I think that would be a nice thing to see happen. Why not, a 20 rebounding champ, sounds good to me...

I agree with both of you, STOMP the livin crap outta the Bulls, get them ready for the ass beating they're gonna get against Detroit. Even if they don't win both last games, we couldn't have asked for a better ending to the season. Before Francis was traded, I was growing weary of all the drama and consistant loosing. It got to a point where I didn't even care to watch the games. I had been a fanatic since the day they hatched the silly egg and Stuff was born..LoL.. I was wondering if this team was ever going to be competitive again. This team has me excited again, along with alot of other people apparently. I read somewhere, maybe on here, i don't remember (old age) that the Magic have received deposits for 500 season tickets for next year, already. That speaks volumes for what people think of our young team.

I think the 500 deposits also will help in aquiring a new or rebuilt area. Crotty and Dyer better put aside whatever hard-ons they got for one another and just get the deal done to keep the Magic here...
I'll be showing my age here, but I grew up in a small college town in western new york state where the old Buffalo Braves (now the L.A Clippers) use to hold their training camps. I was probably about 11, 12, 13, something like that, well, the practices and scrimage games were always open to the public and us kids could always hang around afterwards and get autographs. I was able to get Elmore (Big E) Smiths' and Bob McAdoos' autograph, and alot of guys who's names i don't recall and probably didn't make it past training camp. I even got scolded by McAdoo for leaning on his car while we were waiting for them come come outside.. LoL.. I'm getting a bit long winded now, but the point i was making was, the importance of keeping the Magic our hometown team...
