Magic try to clinch third seed against Cavaliers today

The Magic (47-28, 24-13 road) will try to clinch the third seed in a SAT afternoon nationally televised game on ESPN at CLE (42-34, 25-12 home). Both teams have lost 4 of their last 6 games, and the Cavs are coming off a home loss to CHI 101-98 THU night, as LeBron James scored 33 pts. The Magic lead the season series 2-1.

The probable starting lineup for CLE:

G... Delonte West (7.8 ppg)
G... Devin Brown (7.3 ppg)
F... LeBron James (30.4 ppg, 8.0 rebs, 7.3 asts)
F... Ben Wallace (5.1 ppg, 8.6 rebs)
C... Zydrunas Ilgauskas (14.0 ppg, 9.4 rebs)

Top reserves: Wally Szczerbiak (11.8 ppg); Daniel Gibson (10.9 ppg); Joe Smith (10.3 ppg, 5.3 rebs); Sasha Pavlovic (7.8 ppg); Anderson Varajao (7.0 ppg, 8.5 rebs)

CLE is averaging 97.0 ppg while allowing 97.3 ppg; ORL is averaging 104.4 ppg while allowing 99.7 ppg.

After FRI night's action, WAS and PHI are tied for the 5th seed in the East at 39-37, while TOR is the 7th seed at 38-38.

JNelson should be back in the starting lineup after sitting out a few games with concussion-like symptoms after his collision with DHoward in the game against the Spurs.

In addition to writing my usual Magic previews and recaps for the Orlando Magic Blog, the next three games (at CLE, at NY, CHI) I will also be filling in for Ben Q. Rock on his very informative Magic Blog thirdquartercollapse.com writing the Magic recaps for those games, so check that out also.
