Magic make first appearance of season on ESPN tonight at CHA

The suddenly slumping Magic (16-7, 11-3 away) will make their first national television appearance tonight at CHA (8-12, 7-5 home). The Magic have lost 4 of their last 6 games, including 3 in a row. CHA has lost 8 of their last 10 games, but won their last game WED night against LAC 108-103 as Raymond Felton scored 26 pts and Emeka Okafor 25 pts.

The probable starting lineup for CHA:

G... Raymond Felton (15.5 ppg, 6.7 asts)
G... Jason Richardson (16.4 ppg, 5.5 rebs)
F... Gerald Wallace (18.3 ppg)
F... Emeka Okafor (13.8 ppg, 10.9 rebs)
C... Primoz Brezec (1.9 ppg)

Top reserves: Matt Carroll (9.6 ppg); Jared Dudley (5.1 ppg); Jeff McInnis (4.5 ppg); Walter Herrmann (4.0 ppg)

CArroyo is day-to-day with a sore left foot and RLewis is probable with a sore neck.

CHA is averaging 92.5 ppg while allowing 98.5 ppg. ORL is averaging 103.1 ppg (86.5 in their last two games) and allowing 98.4.

Which Magic team will show up tonight? What adjustments will SVG make? Magic are a 4 1/2 pt favorite (www.pinnaclesports.com).

Since I don't have the NBA League Pass, this will be my first chance this season to watch a Magic game live.

Maybe it will light a fire under some players since Coach Van Gundy is threatening a lineup change if the team does not snap out of their current slump.

That's what I'm hoping... being an optimist, I'll say the Magic win by 5 pts tonight, though I'm not as optimistic as I usually am. CHA plays pretty tough at home, and if the Magic aren't ready, this will be another loss... but I'm trying to remain optimistic.

Yeah im not feeling to good about this game either. Serious adjustments need to be made to the rotation for us to be effective, this will be SVG's fourth attempt at playing a good rotation because in the last three losses the rotation choices didnt work,he's got to get it right soon. Jameer really needs to show that he can defend and im going to be watching our point guard position closely for a few things. (1) Jameer isnt stealing the ball. Jameer needs to get into passing lanes more and stop sleeping on defense,he gets no steals. (2) Pressure on the ball. Point guards are bringing the ball up the court on jameer with ease, nobody is having trouble running their offense with him in the game. Keyon comes in and instantly we have pressure on the ball and energy at the position. No prediction, tonight i scout our players for weaknesses and things they arent doing.
