New Orlando Arena Revealed

If you haven’t already seen and heard some of the details about the future home of the Orlando Magic; check out The Sentinel for this photo gallery to go along with this story.

I couldn’t be more excited! It looks like it’s going to be a hell of building; especially considering the new events center will be 800,000 square feet, more than double the size of the 367,000-square-foot Amway Arena, and have everything you could want or imagine in an arena.

I personally enjoyed John Denton’s write up on the new arena more than The Sentinels. For Denton’s story, click here.

Very, very impressive! They sure seem to have thought of everything.

Hard to believe that it's going to be ready by the 2010 season.

I wonder what's going to happen with Amway Arena once the Events Center opens.

It's funny, the first time I saw the Orlando Arena (as it was known then) back in 1989, I thought it was a great architectural work, and here it went obsolete so fast. I can't imagine what I'll think when I see this new Events Center when it's done.

Congratulations to all who worked hard to make this happen. It is an impressive structure designed by a firm that has built many successful arena of the kind before.

Wow!!! Really a humongous step forward for the magic but most importantly for the city of orlando. With this beautiful piece of architecture in downtown orlando, the events center will be receiving a lot of different events which orlando would not of even been in the running for considering that the AMWAY rafters could not completely support all the equipment that these events require. Really a very joyous time for the city baetiful.
