This game is a must win for us for a lot of reasons. WAS gives up a lot of points, but they score a lot too. It has been proven that we cannot outshoot almost any team in the league, certainly not WAS, especially if Grant doesn't play. We need to get back to the grinding defensive schemes that we were successful with at the start of the season.

The Wizards are playing their best basketball of the year, winning their last 4 games by an average of 19 points per game. Antawn Jamison and Brendan Haywood each had a double double their last game. Like Matt said, this is basically a must win for the Magic, as the Wizards currently hold the eighth and final playoff spot. The Magic have been installed as 1 and a half point favorites for this game. The Magic have had a lot of success against the Wizards at TDW recently, winning 25 of the last 28 games played between the 2 teams there. Can they continue the success tonight? What will the starting lineup be for the Magic? What will the crowd reaction be toward Francis? Can the Magic hold down Gilbert Arenas (averaging over 28 pts a game)? Certainly lots of questions to be answered.

Introvert316 and Big Figure were prophetic on their predictions. I was pleased to see the Magic back to their hard defnsive minded game. They held Arenas in check and held WAS to 40% shooting (33% on 3s). Magic in return shot 50.7% (50% 3s).They outrebounded WAS 41-34. It seems to me that the decsion not to start Steve was reached in agreement between Steve and the coach. Steve said he needed to get his legs back since he was off for a week.
