The week ahead for the Magic


The Orlando Magic begin the week at 49-21 (28-7 home, 21-14 road), in first place in the SE 3 1/2 games ahead of Atlanta (45-24) and are the number two seed in the East, 3 1/2 games ahead of third seeds Atlanta and Boston (45-24) and 6 1/2 games behind top seed Cleveland (56-15). The Magic currently have the third best record in the NBA, behind Los Angeles (51-18) and the Cavaliers.

The Magic are averaging 102.0 points per game (10th) and allowing 95.1 points per game (6th). They have an offensive rating (points per 100 possessions) of 110.2 ppg (9th) and a defensive rating (points allowed per 100 possessions) of 102.7 (4th).

Last season after 70 games, the Magic were 52-18.

-Mon. March 22nd: at Philadelphia (7 PM) 24-46 (11-23 home) 2-8 last 10 games
-Wed. March 24th: at Atlanta (7 PM) 45-24 (28-7 home) 8-2 last 10 games
-Fri. March 26th: Minnesota (7 PM) 14-56 (5-31 road) 0-10 last 10 games
-Sun. March 28th: Denver (6 PM) 47-23 (17-17 road) 8-2 last 10 games

The Magic have beaten the Hawks easily 3 times this season; we'll see if that trend continues, as the Hawks continue to play solid basketball. Also, a tough challenge next Sunday with the Nuggets in town.
