Wow, the national media has really been ridiculing the Magic since the Magic's fourth quarter meltdown in Game 5.
I'm glad that Dwight Howard cares enough that he said something after the game regarding Van Gundy's strategy because it led to Howard and SVG having a private talk Wednesday; I'm sure it helped clear the air, and hopefully the team is ready and raring to go tonight.
I know D12 wasn't having a good offensive game in Game 5 and missed badly on a couple of shots, but still he shot 50% at 5 out of 10.
I'll repeat what I said after Game 5... I was very disappointed in the players and the coach.
I know I've gone on record as saying the Magic have no chance to win a Game 7 in Boston, but I would love to be proven wrong!
The Magic have to win Game 6 first.

I could care less about what the media has to say and glad that dwight had something to say. The magic are clearly the more skilled team, but skill isnt winning this series. Heart, discipline and execution are winning this series. Big baby isnt half as talented as either hedo or rashard, but he's just as effective because he's a good shooter off of the pick and roll. Basically the one thing he does well doc is milking it,thats excellent coaching. Bottom line is this, the magic dont have more heart and the make-up of this team is designed to finesse you around dwight so if thats the case then dwight is right and we need to give it to him and make him the focal point, win or lose going to our best player. We need to milk dwight for a change and get this series back to boston but to do that theyll have to show some discipline and execution down the stretch of this game. To me they should play angry, blow the celtics out and show them game 7 is gonna be tough for them to win because were going to the basket more and executing down the stretch. We are the better skilled team and points at the rim isnt a problem even in boston,we can win game seven because we can beat them off of the dribble.

I agree with Big, I couldn't care less what the national media thinks or writes.
The thing that bothers me is, I don't think Dwight chose the best time and place to be calling out SVG. I'm sure Dwight was frustrated at SVG as well as some of his teammates. But a post game press conference is no place to do it. I still have a sour taste from the whole Hardaway/BHill episode. On they outside they can kiss and make up all they want, but you never really know their true feelings. Dwight is an intelligent, classy kid who is the future of this franchise, I'd just hate to see him go down that Prima Donna road.
I know Dwight made the comment about him needing to be fed the ball more. And that you need to go with what got you to where you're at. But if you look at the stats Dwight only averaged 10.8 FG attempts for his career. So he was right on average for the last game. I hope Dwight and SVG can put all of this behind them and just finish this series against the Celtics.

Ken with all due respect i dont think its about how many shots dwight gets, its more about when he gets them. Down the stretch of game five when hedo was being a playmaker rashard got the majority of the shots, that has to change. We were stuck on 85 for almost six minutes, dwight would have at least gotten us to the free-throw line being that he leads the league in attempts. The first three quarters were fine, but down the stretch of a close game you have to go to him and see if he'll make his free-throws.

I thought that Rashard Lewis played excellent in Game 5 for the first three quarters, but then was awful in the fourth, as he wasn't being aggressive at all and took some three pointers that missed badly.
Lewis has a decided advantage over Glen Davis, and hopefully the Magic will try and exploit that like they did in the first three quarters in Game 5.
Hopefully, SVG will have come up with some creative ways to get D12 more involved with the offense.

First let me say Dwight Howard has really disappointed me lately and he was the last person that should have made any remarks regarding Van Gundy's coaching. Whether his team wants to admit it or not, I believe they don't give him the ball because they dont have confidence in their allstar center. His stats may not be all that bad, but thats because half of the time he loses the ball before he gets a shot off. He has gotten really clumsy with the ball and cant keep his hands on it.
To be completely honest, I think that if Van Gundy should be critisized for anything it is for taking the bench off the floor. They have been doing a fantastic job lately.
As for Turk!!! I dont want to see him in a Magic uniform for one more year. He is not as good of a player as everyone makes him out to be. He is lazy when it comes to defense and it's killing our momentum.
I want to see Dwight Howard learn to make a jump shot. His little hooks aren't cutting it. AND CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TEACH THE MAGIC HOW TO GET AN OFFENSIVE REBOUND!!!

Stacy, I hope D12's performance in Game 6 made you happy... he was a beast underneath on both ends, and was the star of the game!
Yes, the Magic learned how to get an offensive rebound... 16 of them in Game 6, 10 by Dwight.
As for Turk, he was awful the whole night until that huge dagger three in the final minutes.
You do make a good point about the Magic bench... they have played well this series. I'm especially encouraged by the play of Pietrus off the bench.
