Grant Hill, Shaquille O'Neal return to Orlando as Suns take on Magic

The Magic (43-16) will try to beat the Phoenix Suns (34-25) for the first time since January of 2006 as the two teams play tonight in Orlando. The Suns have beaten the Magic six games in a row.

The Suns are 4-2 under new head coach Alvin Gentry and are coming off a 118-111 win Sunday against the Lakers. Suns center Shaquille O'Neal is playing his best basketball in years, as he is averaging 39 points in his last two games.

Former Magic Grant Hill, currently averaging 10.9 points per game, will be playing his second game in Orlando as a member of the Suns. In his initial return last season, the reception from the Orlando crowd was not kind at all.

Suns forward Amare Stoudemire is out for the rest of the season due to a detached retina.

Well, I'll be arriving in Orlando for my 9 day vacation (staying with my sister and brother-in-law) on Tuesday afternoon, and will be at the game tonight! Pretty good seat too, behind the basket in the vicinity of the Magic bench in Row EE, so I'm close to the floor.

The Magic have won their last 7 games with me in attendance, from December 2005 to January 2007. Hopefully, the streak will continue.

I'm also going to the Nets/Magic game on Friday and the Bulls/Magic game a week from Wednesday.

Should be a fun game tonight to watch, as the Suns have resumed their high-octane offense since Alvin Gentry took over as coach. Even without Stoudemire, the Suns are a team to be reckoned with, and the Magic will need to play a solid game to win.

Good to hear that you are going to be in the warmth for 9days, even though i heard that is in the 40's in Orlando. My magic are coming into twon on the 13th and i am looking forward to attending the game, also got pretty good seats!!!!

Gentry and the suns are coming off a huge win on Sunday against the Lakers, but the most important part of the suns is that they are running again!!!!!

Not as warm as we'd like it Mike, but its' got to be warmer than Illinois, right? LOL. Hopefully the Magic can continnue their winning ways with you in attendance..

I hope Dwight brings his A game tonight and runs circles around the loud-mouth, lard-ass O'neil... Can anyone really see Shaq continuing at this pace the rest of the season? He may be good for the occasional burst of energy, but he won't be able to keep up with Dwight for 48 minutes. As long as Howard can keep his cool and don't let Shaq get under his skin the Magic will win...

For us to play the way we are best suited to beat teams our PG has to be pushing the ball bottom line, rafer will be key tonight. He doesnt have to score a whole bunch, but he must be an aggressive passer in transition and going to the basket so that our shooters can spot up and get open looks. Them being down two 20 point scorers means they should struggle at some point on the scoreboard,i think as long as the magic take care of the ball they win soundly.
