Magic long shot to win championship according to one sportsbook

One of the internet's leading sportsbooks, pinnaclesports.com (which doesn't accept any clients from the U.S., not that I would condone internet gambling anyhow), rates the Magic as a 28.53 to 1 chance to win the NBA championship this coming season (which would give one a $2853 profit on a $100 bet if the Magic won it all).

The team with the best chance? The LA Lakers, a 3.37 to 1 shot, followed closely by the Celtics at 3.66 to 1. The team with the worst chance? The Memphis Grizzlies, at whopping 550 to 1 odds.

The Magic rate the fourth best odds to win the Eastern Conference, with Boston first at 1.31 to 1; Detroit second at 3.98 to 1; Cleveland third at 3.98 to 1, then the Magic fourth at 9.21 to 1.

jj rediculous is a real wanker. He threw it into the Moscow defender's hands about 9 times in 10 minutes. He is horrible and i vomited when the magic drafted him. He needs to play on a team that is on his calibre like the bobcats. Trade him! or even give him away for free.

I'm not just saying this for his performance against Moscow. He is just a real tard baby. "Play me or trade me" is what he said last season. We didnt play him because he is horrible. Please get rid/ never play him Stan the Man

For the record, Redick had two turnovers in 17 minutes against the Moscow team. He did have a poor shooting night, but in the first two preseason games he scored a combined 24 points in 33 minutes.

Not exactly "horrible" as you described Redick.

Uhhh isnt this the pre-season? Lets try and stay away from the "get rid of this player or that player" stuff for now. Lets enjoy the fact that the season has started and we'll be able to see the magic early on regular TV. The odds of the magic winning a championship THIS year are about right.

    Juiceman,

Dude, lay off the haterade a bit. Do you even read what you spew? In terms of the "play me or trade me," if you had caught up with the articles, Redick himself said he didn't say that, and Brian Schmitz admitted he didn't. His own editor (for headline purposes) came up with the phrase.

It's still 3 games into the preseason. There's a few players who's been off the blocks slow, but jeez...
