DAL/Magic preview

The Magic (31-18, 12-8 home) will try for their 5th win in a row, and 6th home win in a row as they host Western Conference contender DAL (31-15, 11-12 away) tonight. DAL will be without PG Devin Harris and possibly F Jerry Stackhouse also due to injuries. DAL is coming off a bad 90-67 loss at DET SUN, with Dirk Nowitzki scoring 15 pts.

The probable starting lineup for DAL:

G... Jason Terry (14.8 ppg)
G... Eddie Jones (3.4 ppg)
F... Josh Howard (20.7 ppg, 7.5 rebs)
F... Dirk Nowitzki (22.3 ppg, 8.7 rebs)
C... Erick Dampier (5.4 ppg, 7.0 rebs)

Top reserves: Brandon Bass (7.9 ppg); Jose Juan Barea (4.2 ppg); DeSagana Diop (5.1 rebs); Trenton Hassell (2.2 ppg)

DAL is averaging 100.1 ppg, while allowing 95.9 ppg; ORL is averaging 103.8 ppg, while allowing 100.3 ppg.

The Magic have beaten DAL 12 of the last 15 games in ORL, and are 4 1/2 pt favorites tonight (www.pinnaclesports.com).

The Mavs will be without at least one and maybe two key players tonight, but they will be looking to play a lot better after a poor effort against DET on Sunday.

Even though the Magic have not played good defense the last few games, they did what they needed to do to win two road games, as their offense has done very well; hopefully that can continue tonight at home... Magic by 3.
