Bobcats/Magic preview

After a tough loss at SA WED night, the Magic (10-3, 3-2 home) go back at it tonight at home against CHA (6-5, 1-2 road). CHA is coming off a 114-111 OT loss WED night at home to WAS. G Raymond Felton led CHA with 27 pts, 12 asts.

The probable starting lineup for CHA:

G... Raymond Felton (17.6 ppg, 7.8 asts)
G... Jason Richardson (17.1 ppg, 5.5 rebs)
C... Primoz Brezec (1.6 ppg)
F... Emeka Okafor (13.1 ppg, 12.5 rebs)
F... Gerald Wallace (20 ppg, 5.2 rebs)

Top reserves: Matt Carroll (9.8 ppg); Jeff McInniss (4.1 ppg); Jared Dudley (3.6 ppg); Ryan Hollins (3.3 ppg).

Two key players for the Bobcats are out for the season with major injuries... Adam Morrison and Sean May. Wallace has bruised ribs, but will probably play tonight.

CHA is averaging 93.5 ppg, while allowing 95.5 ppg. The Magic are averaging 102.8 ppg, which is second in the East, while allowing 97.5 ppg.

The Magic are 9 1/2 pt favorites (www.pinnaclesports.com).

CHA is a much-improved team over last season. Four of their starters are averaging in double figures, with three of them averaging over 17 ppg. Their depth is rather thin though with the loss of Morrison and May. New acquisition Jason Richardson from GS gives them a bonafide scoring threat to go along with Wallace.

Having said that, I still expect the Magic to get back to their winning ways tonight. Howard has always played well against Okafor, and should pad his outstanding stats even more. Felton is a very good, quick young PG, but I don't expect him to do to the Magic what Tony Parker did the other night.

Can't wait to see how the Magic's new acquisitions will do tonight. Hopefully they can provide some spark off the bench.

I'm sure that SVG will get the Magic to focus on tonight's game, without looking ahead to tomorrow night's game against the rival Heat. I'll say... Magic by 13.

Im sure rashard is gonna want to rebound from that 12 point effort against the spurs,i expect our big three to get back going and the win tonight. One concern that i have though is the minutes at back-up point guard, carlos seems to have good nights and bad nights offensively but doesnt play any defense any night. I'd like to see keyon get more action there and start playing jj more at the two tonight now that he's healthy,i understand keyon had to play the two while JJ was injured which is why SVG had to play carlos at back-up point.
