Here is an answer, or comment that Otis Smith had recently off of the Magic's website. What can I say, I like good news, even if he is just hyping his team!
From Joe (8/22): Hey Otis, great job on putting the our team together for a playoff run! Have you seen the World Championship lately? What do you think about Arroyo and Howard games on it? If they keep playing like that, I see playoff this season! GO MAGIC!!!!!
Otis: Joe, We have three players in the World Games - Dwight, Darko and Carlos - and they are all having very good summers. I can't wait until the season starts! We are keeping this on the down low, but Jameer may be having the best summer of all. Thanks.

So Jameer is having a good summer too... fantastic! Great to see that his foot injury that caused him to miss a month and a half last season won't be giving him any problems.
I look forward to Nelson manning the point all season and am very confident he can do a great job running the offense and getting everyone involved in addition to his scoring also.

Tough game for Dwight against Slovenia the other day in the U.S. 114-95 win.
Howard's numbers for the game... in 13 minutes... 3 pts on 1 of 4 FG shooting and just 1 of 6 from the FT line... along with 2 rebounds.
Dwight needs to improve his FT shooting this season, because last season that was the only part of his game that did not improve from his rookie year. He is capable of being a much better FT shooter.

Dwight has had 3 tough games in a row now. Although in the middle game against Italy he bought a pump fake, and the opposing player tried to go through his knees, in turn sending Dwight on a 5 foot fall straight on his back. He got up thank goodness, and he returned in the 2nd quarter for a couple more minutes. He didn't play in that 2nd half though. I don't mind if he takes it easy and doesn't play much. I don't want to see him getting hurt over something like this.
