The Magic made the right move here. In signing Bogans for less money, they got a pretty good defensive player and also a player who's a much better 3 pt shooter than Stevenson.
Hera are Keith Bogan's stats last season with Houston:
G 33
Min 32.3
PPG 8.5
FG% 39.5%
3 PT FG % 31.4%
FT % 58%
Reb 4.5
Assists 2.5
Steals 1.0
TOs 1.5

Bogans offers fewer points, much worse FG%, better 3 pt%, rebounds, steals, and assists. They are virtually the same player at the same age. Good move picking the cheaper of the two.
Otis fixes another of hockey-guy's screw-ups. I never understood why Magic let Bogans go and signed Stevenson to that 3 yr $10 mil deal in the first place. Bogans should understand his role and not pout as Redicks minutes grow through the season. So far, Otis seems to have an affinity for 4 year college guys (with the obvious exception of a freak of nature like DH)
