Slam Dunk Fiasco?
Watching slam dunk competition reminded me of a circus where no rules applied. In any organized competition you have a certain number of times to try any routine and if failed would be disqualified. Athletes need to practice whatever it is that they are supposed do, so that such embarrassing mishaps are not repeated. On top of every thing I believe that Igoudala got a bad wrap.

What was the deal at the end with the tie score? I didn't see all of it, did one of the judges change their scoring at the last second? Alotta people looked pissed about that...

Well, the score was tied even after the 3rd round then one of the judges changed his 10 score given to Andre.

I thought nate deserved it,andre's first two dunks were worthy of 50,but his 3rd and 4th dunks were both through the leg dunks,thats why he didnt get a great score on his last dunk,b/c it looked to much like the third dunk,only on the fourth,i read kobe's lips and he told andre to go baseline,well kobe sold him a dream,b/c he shouldve told him to change the dunk first,at least nate did 4 different dunks,and there's no penalties for attempts,so he's your winner!

The slam-dunk competition will never be as good again as it was in the mid to late 80's. Who can forget Spud Webb in 1986? And how about Michael Jordan-Dominique Wilkins in 1988 in their classic duel in the old Chicago Stadium? And in 1987, seeing all of MJ's unbelievable dunks while winning that year's contest.
I agree that giving a player 13 or 14 tries to attempt a dunk is ridiculous. Yeah, I thought Iguodala should have won it, but I have to admit Robinson's dunks were impressive too.

I think with so many young talents coming on, the dunk competition could be good if the format is more organized and more appealing to attract more contestants. As it stands, when a contestant tries so many times and fails, everybody gets impatient and urges to move on. Even Iguodala was getting impatient while Robinson tried and failed, time after time.

First thing,there has to be a penalty for attempts,i meam 13 or 14 times is just crazy,the last couple of years i thought that the slam dunk was back,from vince,to jason,and josh last year,change a few rules and it'll be fine,the talent & creativity is there! How'd you guys like the off-the-back-of-the-backboard slam by iggy bop!

But nate did jump over spud,which is crazy in itself,and after that you gotta come with something nasty,and unseen for that matter,iggy didnt do anything after that to wow the crowd,plus the wishy washy judges changing their score's,iggy got robbed in some poeple's eyes,but nate made a good case for himself!
