Game night preview
ORLANDO MAGIC at CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
Time Warner Cable Arena
Charlotte, NC
Saturday, Jan. 23. 7:00 p.m.
The Orlando Magic (28-15, 12-11 road) finish their four-game week on Saturday when they travel to Charlotte (21-20, 18-4 home) to square off with the Bobcats at 7 p.m. ET. Orlando has won its past six contests against Charlotte, including its two meetings with the Bobcats this season. But both of their wins came well before the Bobcats started to hit their stride. Charlotte has won six of their last seven, including two consecutive blowouts of Western Conference powerhouses (Phoenix and San Antonio). “I just want the guys to be proud of what they've done and realize these are just small steps,” Bobcats Head Coach Larry Brown said of his team. “We dug ourselves such a huge hole at the beginning of the season. We've just got to continue to try to get better.” Part of the reason for Charlotte’s turnaround has to do with the addition of Stephen Jackson. They now find themselves in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race, holding down the fifth seed. “That's what I play this game for,” said Jackson, who is averaging over 20 points per game since the trade. “I just want to go out there and be a factor every night.”

We'll see how the Magic do on the road against a team that's significantly better than the previous 2 teams the Magic played.
