Game 3: 76ers 96, Magic 94

This time, it was Philadelphia who blew a big third quarter lead, as they let a 74-57 lead slip away, but Thaddeus Young's layup with 2.2 seconds remaining gave the 76ers the 96-94 victory and a two games to one lead in the series.

If Philly had made more of their free throws, the game wouldn't have gone to the wire like it did.

It really hurts the Magic cause that Turk and Lewis, especially Turk, are shooting so poorly from the floor.

We'll see what the Magic are made of in Game 4 in what will be as close to a must-win as you can get.

SVG needs to get hedo off of AI period. I'd like to see CL get a chance at defending him because hedo is absolutely getting killed. The bench also has to be better,if aj and gortat hit some shots its a whole different game.

It was nice to see Pietrus hit a couple of clutch threes in the third quarter.

If he can provide an offensive spark like that the rest of the series, it would be a big lift for the bench.

I still believe that PHI cannot beat the Magic in a best of seven series but we are not using the available players for the best. Rashard and Hedo are both hurting but Hedo is hurting worse and he cannot defend AI. I agree with Big Figure that he should be taken off of AI but I differ a bit in suggesting to start MP in SF, that is if he is in good condition. After all, this guy has the size and is a good defender.

I should be able to watch the fouth game, and I expect Magic to win if proper rotation is used.

Not sure who suggested starting MP but that wouldnt be a good idea either. The idea is to not make hedo have to guard their top offensive threat when he's our top offensive threat. Hedo should not be guarding AI. And to be honest i havent liked the way SVG has decided to defend philly from game 1. The very first game he switched the match-up and has CL defending the PG position and RA defending the SG position,WHY???? Let them play straight up,RA is crafty and smart enough to not get abused in the post by miller. But at the same time miller is pretty much doing what-ever he wants against a ROOKIE in CL. I think the match-up would favor us better if CL ran with willie green and RA ran with miller. Then i think i'd let rashard guard AI and hedo run with young and the rest of their PF's who they dont run any offense for that way hedo could focus completely on offense against them. SVG is getting out coached to me but he's doing it to himself over thinking this thing, play'em straight up and let rashard guard AI and we'd blow them out everytime.
