Wizards/Magic preview

The Magic (45-24, 22-12 home), winners of 11 of their last 13 games and 5 games in a row, will look to extend their streak as they take on WAS (33-33, 13-18 road), who is coming off a 105-96 home loss to ATL MON night, with Antawn Jamison leading WAS with 25 pts.

The Wizards' Gilbert Arenas still has not been given the OK from his doctor to return to game action, even though he has been working out with the team. Caron Butler, who recently returned after missing 16 games with a strained hip flexor, is being bothered by a sore left wrist.

The probable starting lineup for WAS:

G... Antonio Daniels (8.8 ppg, 4.9 asts)
G... DeShawn Stevenson (11.0 ppg)
F... Caron Butler (21.0 ppg, 6.9 rebs)
F... Antawn Jamison (21.6 ppg, 10.3 rebs)
C... Brendan Haywood (10.7 ppg, 7.4 rebs)

Top reserves: Roger Mason (8.7 ppg); Andray Blatche (7.3 ppg, 5.3 rebs); Nick Young (7.3 ppg); Darius Songalia (5.7 ppg)

WAS is averaging 98.5 ppg while allowing 98.7 ppg; the Magic average 105.0 ppg and allow 100.1 ppg.

The Magic are 2-0 against WAS this season, including a 30 pt blowout win in WAS earlier this month. Magic are 7 1/2 pt favorites over the Wizards (www.pinnaclesports.com).
