Speaking of Stevie Franchise, apparently Shaq is not a big fan. The Orlando Sentinel had Shaq quoted that Dwight Howard won’t reach his potential "as long as Steve Francis is there." The article also quoted Shaq as saying, "Nothing needs to be groomed. He (Howard) needs to be fed. Can’t do it with Francis pounding the ball." We actually bumped into DH over the weekend and he said when the Magic played the Heat before the break, Shaq was telling him the same thing during the game. In Steve’s defense, he was starting to play like a real point guard in the short time between his team-imposed suspenision and these latest trade rumors ...

i gotta agree w/ shaq on this one...dwight howard has the potential to be great, but steve francis ain't helpin' howard develop...francis needs booted before howard decides to go elsewhere when he's a free agent.
i'm goin to college in orlando right now and i was lookin' forward to seein' some magic action...but i could go to the local YMCA and watch a short guy w/ hops take 40 shots a night...i wanna watch talented guys like howard put on a show

Shaq's probably just posturing,b/c he claim's he wants to buy the team when he retire's,can you guys imagine shaq as our owner? He probably wants dwight to play with an unselfish point guard,so that we're actually a winning team when he takes over,b/c i think shaq (he might not admit it)has a soft place in his heart for orlando,he just knew that this ownership wasnt gonna deliver him a good enough product to compete for consistent championships,so he bolted for L.A,they'll spend the money it takes!

Remember what Shaq once said about Orlando... that he felt like "a big fish in a small pond" here. Wonder if he still feels like that.
